A New Frontier

Finding the perfect destination for Ace Tennis to start running tennis camps in Europe was no easy task. Hours of research and flying visits to tennis centres across the continent was time consuming. Then the Cataluyna Tennis Resort was stumbled across, 40 minutes north of Barcelona. The 12 red clay courts were a big sell along with the four star Hotel, renowned for its quality of food throughout the region. The best part of this small, sport specific resort was the friendly and helpful staff. The people of this region can not do enough to you. It was decided Ace Tennis Camps had found a European "home".  Nestled in the hills of the Catalan countryside, it is a truly special place to play tennis.  Safe and secure for children and with all the amenities required.  This included indoor/outdoor pools, Padel tennis courts, soccer pitch and cinema area.  

This Easter was the culmination of 6 months planning. Two groups to attend under the guidance of the Ace Tennis team of coaches. The weather was perfect for tennis, players bonded, worked hard and most important of all had loads of fun.

A full tennis program each day, made sure the players adapted to clay court tennis. Learning how to slide or being tactically astute on clay the players soaked it all up.

Part of the Ace Tennis Camps experience is the off court experience. In London, this maybe visiting Wimbledon, Oxford Street, Buckingham Palace. The Barcelona camps meant creating a new off court schedule. Fortunately the resort is very well positioned for access to the City and its attractions. Over the two weeks, the players visited the Nou Camp (home of Barcelona F.C), the Ramblas, the beaches, the shopping outlets all over the city and so much more. Young people playing and developing at their favourite sport and also experiencing new places and culture is what makes Ace Tennis Camps what it is today.

Outside of the coaching program, excursions, and resort is the single most satisfying aspect of tennis camps...... the friendships. Players arriving at Heathrow not knowing anybody to returning to Heathrow with friends through sport is rewarding for all involved. 

Ace Tennis Camps will be operating its tennis camps in Barcelona throughout the year at set times. The next trip will be 22nd October 2016.  We hope you maybe joining us for this great experience.
